DV-i is a New York-based multimedia music system first conceived by D.V. Caputo in 2012.
DV-i’s conceptual focus, whilst utilizing a variety of digital synth sounds and textures derived from corporate audiologos and Japanese VGM, explores mortality and self via the increased accessibility and perceived promise of transhuman technologies often dominated by socioeconomic forces beyond the individual’s control.
After a series of digital singles from 2012-2014, DV-i’s first EP, Aurora Memoria: Philosophical Data Session 2093 was released in late 2015. This EP was a game/music hybrid, with the music soundtracking a Visual Novel of the same name. An additional EP is expected to be released later this year.
